The trip to Indonesia was wonderful. I just wish we had more time because everything was compacted into a 3d/2n trip =( But the food was amazing. There was so much photos to go through at the end of the trip. The only bummer was being stuck in transit from Jakarta to KL at the Jakarta airport because one of the Garuda people failed to notify AirAsia (our connecting flight from JK to KL) that we had a connecting flight, so we had to wait for our luggage at the luggage carousel instead of it being transferred directly by them. We waited at the airport for almost 6 hours, and they finally paid for another flight, courtesy of Garuda. We were of course, given a complimentary night stay at a really nice hotel, albeit dodgy on the outside, with free dinner before our flight the next morning!

Pass Go.

Okay, so the start of this semester is driving me crazy, I had fever and food poisoning during the first week so I did not go to class. We are taking 9 subjects this semester, credit hours totaling to 30 hours and it's insane! It's just mothafarking insane. Plus, the German workload is ridiculous. 30 names to learn in a week, baby, plus all of its indefinate articles die, das and der.

Me and my friends have this new obsession called 'Monopoly Deal'. It's too damn addictive; I bought a pack the next day straight away. Damn you Parker Brothers for creating addictive games!

Speaking of games, we are nowadays easily amused with board games. Dennis brought his Celebrity Guessing Game thingy, which inspired a lot of laughter and amusement, from us and other patrons of the restaurant alike.

The weird thingy you put on your head. You insert a card slot on that thing on top of the head where a random celebrity, fictional or non-fictional, will be stated, and everybody except you can see it. You have to ask questions to guess what character it is. The first person to guess it wins! Amir got Frank Sinatra.

Random picture of pizza. Cheese is nice.

I realize I usually rarely elaborate more on life; perhaps I think the photos will suffice. At any rate, in case it interests you, I have finally finished reading The Diary of Anne Frank and Princess: A True Story of Life Behind The Veil; both non-fictions and depicting the life of real women. Anne Frank's diaries was translated into English - the form I read it - and even then it was almost as if I was looking through a window in her life at that particular time. It was so vivid, from rotten potatoes to having to be silent all the time. Princess - depicts the life of "Sultana" (alias), an Arabic princess of royal descendant and her oppresive life because she was born a female - chosen marriages, initial discouragement from education (asides the Koran), polygamy - this is told based on secret diaries and manuscripts given to an author.

It is always interesting to read stories and voices of people who write it based on their own experiences as you carry out a new perception of culture; war; love; religion, and so forth, in their world. So you should read autobiographical books which is always the best source of truth and clarity.
