31. a little bit of rhythm and beat @ we love asia

"We Love Asia" was an "Asian" music festival that took place at Sepang International Circuit on 19 + 20 January 2013. They had great line ups such as Taio Cruz, Red Foo from LMFAO, Steve Aoki, Ferry Corsten, DJ Antoine, Joachim Garraud and Yolanda Be Cool.

I only managed to attend the first day of the festival, which featured Taio Cruz, Yolanda Be Cool, Joachim Garraud and Ferry Corsten, because I had a wedding to attend on the second day.

Yolanda Be Cool & Taio Cruz.

It's the kind of event people attend buzzed, or else they don't get the feel of it, much like my friends. I was alright, I didn't need to drink or smoke up to get into the mood. I was feeling it when Yolanda Be Cool entered the set. I don't really listen to Taio Cruz, but when he performed the song he wrote for Usher & David Guetta, "Without You", the crowd really exploded.

Thank God for the boys. Without them I would have been squished. And they were great, cause I had times where I had difficulty breathing, and needed air, and they would be okay with just parting the crowd, getting drinks for me and chill for a bit. On the whole, I loved it. I loved the music, ambience, the grinding, bumping, whatever.

One thing that surprised me was that the crowd was a bit lacking. Which was a plus for claustrophobic people like me :D But on the negative side; there was a set of skanky hoes obstructing me towards the end. These skanky hoes with red hair just shoved people out of the way and did their slutty dance, aka shaking their sweaty, sour hair into people's face to look all sexy. Think I caught some of the sweat in my mouth. Eww. Skanks, I tell ya. Honey, please watch Jessica Alba in Honey and learn from her.

Thanks boys for accompanying me :) And thank you Churp Churp for the tickets!

30. anuar zain. anuar frikkin zain.

One of the reasons I love work so much is cause I bump into awesome artists and potential hubbies...

ANUAR ZAIN <3

He was doing a shoot in his studio and some of my colleagues stalked in front of the pantry for several hours, because his car was parked in plain sight right in front of the pantry.

He was very nice and patient with me, despite his PA urging him that they had to go. Thank you very much Anuar Zain, for fulfilling my girl crush

I've always loved him. To outsiders, Anuar Zain is a reputable male singer, with voice like honey and hair like silk... erm he's been in the Malaysian music industry since 1998 and has won many accolades and awards for his outstanding voice.

I think this is easily his most famous song in Malaysia. It's in Malay though, so for those who don't understand the Malay language, you might prefer something in English.

You might be able to appreciate his voice more through his cover of Marc Anthony's "My Baby You".

I LOVE YOU ANUAR ZAIN!

29. birthday chica, amal

I first met Amal in 2006, back when I was doing my diploma in UiTM Lendu, Melaka. We were both taking our diploma in mass communication, and she was my roommate. I was a crazy, broke student back then. We stayed up until 3 am studying eating Maggi noodle cups, highlighting our study books like crazy.

Hawa, Sarah, Me & Amal (and Rafi at the back grr).

I remembered pissing her off over and over again because I used DMX's "Party Up" as my ringtone and alarm (I always slept through that alarm hahaha). Thanks to a cheap midnight rate by the telco company, I'd be on the phone talking to my ex for an hour after midnight every day, and she would be there, listening over my conversations.

Amal (center).

After we both graduated from university, the strenuous chain of life that binded us together eventually separated us... work, relationships happened, and we would try to catch up once every few months. No matter how long the stretch, we'd ease back into the comfort of being old friends, and talk as if we had just met yesterday. I haven't seen her for approximately 3 months up until yesterday, to "surprise" her for her birthday.

She's one of my closest friends and everyone I've introduced her to loves her. She's fun, bubbly, makes fun of her own button nose, and it's always all smiles and fun time with her. I hope we can go on a trip together one day, abroad :)

Here's to six years of friendship, my darling Amal.
Happy birthday, quarter of a century years old!
Stay cute, gorgeous, and may Allah bless your life always.
<3 you so much :)
