Happy One Year Old Imaan!

We celebrated Imaan's first birthday at Chili's Paradigm Mall. No brainer, we love to eat there as it's close to home, everytime I go there I will order the Honey Chipotle Chicken (even though it's crazy easy to just make it at home) and kids get to eat for free (free chicken for Imaan).

With the birthday girl who seems more interested in her free cake.

"Ma, are we done with phone? Can I eat my cake now?"

We love you so much Asiya Imaan. You've been a blessing to our lives and it's been mommy's greatest privilege to take care of you. May you grow to be someone caring, loyal, always joyful and optimistic, and of course take care of your mom when she's old..

Okay we're done with dinner because someone's a little cranky.

Killer Gourmet Burger, KGB @ Taman Tun Dr. Ismail branch

For one of my closest friend's birthday, we decided to celebrate it at Killer Gourmet Burger (KGB) Taman Tun Dr. Ismail. I heard many good things about it.

It's a Minion-themed party. WHO SAYS 27 IS TOO OLD FOR BIRTHDAYS??

Ordered this Texas Jalapeno Steak & Cheese Fries to share, I think around RM 20 or less.
But someone doesn't want to share... The sad thing is, all the topping's just for show.. when you dig deep it's just regular fries.

I don't remember for the life of me what this burger was called.

Happy faces being fed. Raihan's overjoyed by the size of her cheese from her Mexican-inspired burger that came with guacamole. Mmm, moley moley.

The queue and wait was a bit long, but I guess that's what happens when you go to burger joint on a Friday night. Their milkshake is quite small for the price.

Overall Experience:
Food: 4/5
Service: 2/5
Pricing: 2/5

For a little peace and quiet, we proceeded to Kaffe Coffee, just down the road, to cut cake.

Birthday girl (left) lighting up her own cake HAH!

The tasty chocolate cake by Nadia, purchased from Lavender. I think the coffee foam was Nadia's (questionable?). Not sure what it is - an old woman? Bahaha.

Forced selfie with Raihan!

Thanks Kaffe Coffee for allowing us to celebrate the birthday there!

94. Birthday at Dolly Dim Sum!

I celebrated my 27th Birthday last week (how time flies! Only seems yesterday that I was 24 years old hehe) and the lovely Hanis, Wenyi & Melvin belanja-ed me dinner at Dolly Dim Sum.

The food was so delicious, Alhamdulillah. What made the night was when a bunch of sombrero-wearing waiters came to our table and started serenading me with Happy Birthday on an acoustic guitar. It was so funny!

What a cute cake, masha Allah!

My partner in crime, Hanis. We do social media freelancing.

Alhamdulillah, this year Allah has granted me with so many blessings, and I am always counting them. I am happily married, this year we bought a house together and will be purchasing a car soon for Raya, I we hope to adorn the house with love, laughter, and the smell of freshly baked cookies. Allah also opened my heart to wear a hijab. I am still learning, hehe, so forgive me if my tudung seems wonky or creased.

51. quarter of a century years old (part 2)

sorry if this post is overdue. way, way overdue.

My lovely friends surprised me the following day with a rainbow cake. I love cake! I love rainbow cute!  I felt so blessed that my friends took the time and effort for this :) Need to remind myself that I am blessed with so many things in life.

Thank you, girls, for always making me smile :) You guys never fail to do so.
Thank you, God, for another day with my beautiful friends.
Thank you, God, for every second I have in life.
Thank you, for the beautiful day, which I will cherish. Always.

At this point, the only thing I wished I could have was more money. But hey, money will come. It will come. Hopefully next year, I can take a holiday abroad and get a new car. *Hopefully*

Quarter of a century now. Yippeeee. I am now officially an adult.

50. quarter of a century years old (part 1)

7 April marked a significant day for me: it was my 25th birthday! I can't say much except that I had a lot of fun :) Let's just say that I was very rowdy. The initial plan was drinks on Saturday at TDH TTDI with a small number of people, and dinner on Sunday with another batch. Sarah got me a very curious set of pressies...

She got a nice set of aromatherapy candles and..
A FRICKIN SET OF DENTAL FLOSS! Ahahaha.

A few weeks back, we had a random conversation that lead to... dental floss:
Me: X uses a toothpick in front of people... eww
Her: It's good what. In fact, you should floss teeth too.
Me: Floss?? Hrmm can't remember the last time I flossed my teeth.
She: *horrified face* WHATTTT.
Further on into the night, we got up to all sorts of shenanigans haha.

Most of the night was such a blur. (From other people's accounts, this is what I did):-
  1. Claimed I was going to rob a bank, went into one, plucked a branch from a plant and ran back to the bar barefoot.
  2. Shouted at a guy for using the girl's toilet. Then closed the door and opened it up again and told him off again.
  3. Screamed "it's my birthdayyyy" to random people.
  4. Knocked over a glass of ???
  5. Sat one someone's lap and told them IT'S SO COMFYYYY.
  6. Played Taiti (Chinese Poker) and put a bunch of nonsense number cards down saying I WON I WON.
  7. Asked time and time again, "is it a spoon or a fork?" at a long spoon.
WHERE'S MY MAMA?

If you saw me that night, I'm so sorry for being obnoxiously loud. The night was too blurred out for me =.= It happens once a year. I might need to apologize to the owners of TDH. There's also videos that will never see the light of day....

Thanks for putting up with my crazy, psycho side. Never again, I swear.

29. birthday chica, amal

I first met Amal in 2006, back when I was doing my diploma in UiTM Lendu, Melaka. We were both taking our diploma in mass communication, and she was my roommate. I was a crazy, broke student back then. We stayed up until 3 am studying eating Maggi noodle cups, highlighting our study books like crazy.

Hawa, Sarah, Me & Amal (and Rafi at the back grr).

I remembered pissing her off over and over again because I used DMX's "Party Up" as my ringtone and alarm (I always slept through that alarm hahaha). Thanks to a cheap midnight rate by the telco company, I'd be on the phone talking to my ex for an hour after midnight every day, and she would be there, listening over my conversations.

Amal (center).

After we both graduated from university, the strenuous chain of life that binded us together eventually separated us... work, relationships happened, and we would try to catch up once every few months. No matter how long the stretch, we'd ease back into the comfort of being old friends, and talk as if we had just met yesterday. I haven't seen her for approximately 3 months up until yesterday, to "surprise" her for her birthday.

She's one of my closest friends and everyone I've introduced her to loves her. She's fun, bubbly, makes fun of her own button nose, and it's always all smiles and fun time with her. I hope we can go on a trip together one day, abroad :)

Here's to six years of friendship, my darling Amal.
Happy birthday, quarter of a century years old!
Stay cute, gorgeous, and may Allah bless your life always.
<3 you so much :)

Back.

I've been busyyyy with my finals and I just started my holidays! Yes to party, rest and hangover mornings. I haven't updated in a while, hey, but most bloggers go through that dry spell phase where they're too busy to download. I'm sure if you are a blogger you've gone through it. Hats off to you if you have yet to do this.

Mmmm. I love pizza. Papa John's make good pizza.

Momok sleeping on my notes again.

At his not-so-surprise party.
As it turns out, three of his idiot friends called my boyfriend up asking if "he was going to the party at Duta Vista". Apparently when I texted "surprise" they forgot that element. So he was sort of expecting it. After all that hard work, what a bummer.

http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/yjunee/blogger/DSC_0222.jpg?t=1258431344
The expected surprise. Eeeesh.

The huge ass banner me and Stef made. Mostly Stef. I was too busy cooking in the kitchen.

http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/yjunee/blogger/DSC_0302.jpg?t=1258431336
The pressure of hosting a party got to me. Chicken fight with Stef.

The cute mini card I bought which played the famous happy birthday song irritatingly everything you opened it haha.

Thunder thighs!

Yep. That wraps up the sad month I have been having. Next year for his birthday it's going to be just me, a wok, and fried rice. No more of this surprise shebang.
